Japan now more open to Western games says Sony's Shuhei Yoshida
Call of Duty and Uncharted helping Western games in Japan
The current boss of Sony's worldwide studios, Shuhei Yoshida, has expressed his belief that Japanese gamers are becoming more open to Western titles.
Taking his information from the PS Vita pre-order figures, Yoshida-san noted that the most popular titles were the Western titles like Uncharted: The Golden Abyss and Everybody's Golf which could indicate a shift in Japanese gaming tastes.
He explained: "Japanese people traditionally have a strong local preference, particularly with the Manga style look of characters that they love. But as technology and presentation advances in games like Uncharted and Call of Duty, they are rightly seeing their quality."
The PS Vita launches in Europe and North America on February the 22nd of next year.
