Sony is being sued over one critical point in their new terms of service that means users agree not to sue if something goes wrong.

Following the hacking problems experienced by PSN earlier on this year Sony slipped a waiver into their new terms of service with users having to agree to waive their rights to sue if anything like that were to occur again.

One resident of Northern California has decided to stand up for PSN users' legal rights and file a law suit against Sony for their new clause.

The suit not only claims that the waiver clause is not fair business practice as it forces users to choose between their legal rights and access to a service they have "effectively paid for" it criticises Sony for burying the clause at the end of a 21-page document that is only viewable on the unlike the previous iterations of their terms of service.
