Sony signs Vodafone for the 3G PS Vita services in the UK
3G service provider confirmed across Europe and Australasia as well
Sony has unveiled Vodafone as the provider for the PS Vita's 3G services in the UK.
As well as being the 3G partner for the PS Vita in the UK Vodafone will also provide 3G services in Ireland, Italy, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Australia, New Zealand and The Netherlands, and via SFR in France.
SCEE CEO Jim Ryan said: "With social gaming and connectivity at the heart of PlayStation Vita it is important that we partner with a market leading network provider, to ensure users have a high quality 3G experience."
He added: "Partnering with Vodafone will enable PS Vita users in the selected countries to always be connected with their PlayStation life, friends and games, wherever they are."
