Korean MMO M2 deleted during maintenance
Vital data lost permanently during maintenance
One Korean free-to-play MMO has disappeared after a something went awry during some routine maintenance downtime.
Developer Sankando and operator Hangame have revealed that the MMO was take offline to deal with a widespread data problem last month and never returned.
It was revealed that, during the maintenance cycle some vital game data was deleted and could not be recovered and so M2 had to be retired.
Hangame are offering "selective compensation" to M2 players that had picked any of the game's premium content.
