Polyphony Digital boss and perennial petrolhead Kazunori Yamauchi has confirmed that they have begin working on the next iteration of their ultra-detailed driving sim, Gran Turismo.

He promised that they would continue to update 5 through downloadable content with the first batch arriving on not that long ago.

Yamauchi-san did add that the kind of things that players could expect from Gran Turismo 6 were things that they couldn't implement with a download or a patch for GT5.

He also promised that the future of the and indeed the series was dependent on fan feedback saying: "What we do from here on is also really dependent on the reaction of the users to this first DLC that we just released because this is the first one. Now we have the feedback from our customers and we'll see how that will affect what we will do from here."
