Initially there were doubts as to whether Assassin's Creed would take a break next year due to Ubisoft's claims that they were trying to move the series away from an annual release in order to avoid burning our fans of the series.
However, the way the story arc has panned out the desire is to get the current Desmond Miles storyline done and dusted before the game's projected end of the world date of December 2012 arrives for real.
Yves Guillemot, CEO of Ubisoft said only: "We want to be careful and prudent, but we have high expectations for the product."
