Alan Wake will return as a download

New Alan Wake to be revealed at the VGAs

Xbox's Major Nelson has revealed some news that will ease Alan Wake fan's torment over whether or not there will be a sequel.

Major Nelson announced on his Twitter that the world's whiniest author will be making a return in a download-only. The title is rumoured to be called Alan Wake: Night Springs.

He said: "We can confirm that this new Alan Wake game will be a fully standalone experience and released on Xbox LIVE."

The title will be handled by series creators Remedy and will be unveiled at this year's Video Game Awards on December the 10th.
