Dark Souls ships more in Europe than it does in Japan
1.5 million copies shipped world wide
Namco Bandai has revealed the number of copies of From Software's insanely tough RPG Dark Souls they've shipped around the world and it seems to have been more popular in the West.
In Japan, Dark Souls shipped 370,000 copies in its first month but in Europe it shipped a clear 100,000 copies more.
Dark Souls moved a healthy 620,000 copies in the US, and with 40,000 shipped in Asia that takes the game's world wide total to 1.5 million copies.
The disparity in the figures could be attributed to the game only being released on the PS3 in Japan whereas in Europe and North America it also hit the Xbox 360 giving it a much wider audience.
