In Japan, Dark Souls shipped 370,000 copies in its first month but in it shipped a clear 100,000 copies more.

Dark Souls moved a healthy 620,000 copies in the US, and with 40,000 shipped in Asia that takes the game's world wide total to 1.5 million copies.

The disparity in the figures could be attributed to the game only being released on the in whereas in Europe and North America it also hit the giving it a much wider audience.
