It appears that, unlike a growing number of PC games, Skyrim will still support DirectX 9 affording those with slightly older machines a bit of hope of being able to enjoy it.

Skyrim will require a minimum of a dual-core 2 GHz Intel or AMD processor, 2 GB of system RAM, a fully DirectX 9.0c compliant 512 MB video card and sound card and an active internet connection for activation.

Skyrim will be out on the 360, PlayStation 3 and PC on November the 11th.

Thanks Bethesda Blog.
