Activision has revealed their plans for the next video game outing on Marvel's web-slinging superhero Spiderman.

Beenox, the team behind Spiderman: Shattered Dimensions and last week's release Spiderman: Edge of Time are working on the new next Spiderman release which will accompany next year's Spiderman cinema release. This game will take its lead from Activision's Spiderman 2 game by putting Spidey into an open world for the first time since Web of Shadows.

Although handled by the same developer, the new Spiderman title is being worked on by a separate team from the folks that handled Edge of Time and Shattered Dimensions.

Beenox is promising a big leap in the quality with this new title and is planning some innovative new features in terms of Spidey getting around the city and battling enemies in mid-air.
