Activision announces Transformers: Fall of Cybertron
Acti take a break from adapting bad Michael Bay movies to make a decent Transformers game for a change
Activision has revealed a follow-up to their well received Transformers: War For Cybertron, a title which found a very healthy online following.
Transformers: War For Cybertron was a refreshing break from the relentless onslaught of awful movie spin-off games that has dominated the franchises releases in the last few years.
The release of a sequel called Transformers: Fall of Cybertron will come as a welcome news for fans of War For Cybertron, with the new title charting the darkest days of the battle between the Autobots and Decepticons when their fight finally destroys their home planet.
Activision's David Oxford said: "High Moon Studios is an extremely talented development team having raised the bar of gameplay and Transformers authenticity in their games. Transformers: Fall of Cybertron is an extraordinary project both for the studio and the Transformers gaming legacy the stakes are higher and the scale much larger than ever before, and we absolutely cannot wait for fans to see all the new characters and epic action that awaits them."
Transformers: Fall of Cybertron is due for release in autumn of 2012.
