Sony has announced that it will be placing an initial limit of 20 MB on 3G downloads on the PlayStation Vita.

This has been put in place due to the limitations of current 3G technology although maintains that this could change in the future.

They have also said that they are working closely with developers to help them make the most of 3G's 64 KBPS upload speed and 128 KBPS download speeds.

Despite the download limit, the will be able to make purchases on the PlayStation Store via 3G as well as Wi-fi.

The PS Vita launches in this with and North America having to wait until next year to see the new handheld.
