Sony reckons that the kind of offerings that they have on the are only the beginning of what is possible for 3D gaming.

Mick Hocking, head of Sony's London Studio has been talking very positively about 3D in the aftermath of the release of their most recent 3D enabled title 3. He explained that while titles like and 5 are impressive demonstrations of 3D gaming the technology is still very much in its infancy.

Hocking began excitedly: "Looking at the future of 3D, I think we've really only just begun to realize its potential as a creative medium. With the combination of 3D and gaming with PlayStation Move, I think titles like Resistance 3 are just scratching the surface of whats possible."

He continued: "For those who may have been fans of some of the 'virtual reality' projects of the late 1980s and early 1990s, improvements in processing power and 3D screen resolution are creating virtual spaces that are more realistic than ever. If you look at what PlayStation is doing now and the innovations that are being worked on in our Studios in 3D gaming, were living in one of the most thrilling eras to be a gamer."

Resistance 3 launched last week with offering it in a bundle with a 24-inch 3D TV, HDMI cable and one set of 3D glasses very soon.
