Team Meat probably won't work with Microsoft again
Indie developer cites poor post release support as their major reason
The guys behind the indie hit Super Meat Boy have decided that they probably won't be working with Microsoft again.
Edmund McMillen and Tommy Refenes have been fairly critical of their experience of working with Microsoft on Super Meat Boy, mainly of the support they received post-launch.
McMillen said: "I don't think we'll work with them [Microsoft] ever again."
He continued: "We've not had one [discount] sale [on Xbox] since our initial launch, and I don't know if that's going to happen. Whenever we ask, and we actively ask monthly if we can be included in a sale or get any kind of promotion, they say no."
Refenes chimed in saying that they'd only work with MS again if "is if it's more on our terms, which I don't feel like they'll ever want to agree with".
It wasn't and entirely bad experience as one particular, unnamed producer did provide great support during development. McMillen added: "He also happens to be the producer on every good game on the fucking system [Xbox 360]. It felt like he was the only person who really believed in us, and he felt like a friend."
