Sledgehammer's Call of Duty shelved for Modern Warfare 3
Chance to work on Modern Warfare series was "too good to pass up"
Sledgehammer Games has revealed that they had to put their own Call of Duty title on hold in order to help Infinity Ward finish off Modern Warfare 3.

Co-founder of Sledgehammer, Michael Condrey stated that their own Call of Duty title, was only in the prototype stage when they were called in to aid the development of Modern Warfare 3.
He said excitedly: "We were working on it for about six months. We had a prototype together that was pretty compelling, and it looked really good. [But] the opportunity to work on the biggest thing in the industry with Infinity Ward was just an opportunity we couldn't [miss]."
Modern Warfare 3 is set for a worldwide release on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 on November the 8th with Wii and DS releases also planned for this year.
