EA says "never say never" on the Valve situation
EA open to other publishers' titles appearing on Origin
The troubles between EA and Valve over Steam's terms of service can still be resolved says EA's European boss Jens Uwe Intat.
The disagreement that has seen several significant EA titles removed from Steam including Crysis 2 and Battlefield 3 set not to appear on Steam at all could still find a peaceful solution with all EA titles returning to Valve's digital platform.
Intat said simply, "Never say never," when questioned on whether their titles would return to Steam.
He also indicated that other publishers' games could begin to appear on their own download platform, Origin. He said: "When we were talking about it's best for the consumer that competition is a good thing, for the consumer also choice is a good thing. Competition and choice go hand in hand. So the fact we will only distribute our own games on our own platform, I don't see that. We are discussing with other publishers to distribute their games. But the key is really to develop and impressive consumer experience where people are happy to play and buy games."
