Microsoft has revealed plans for the next generation of Windows operation system including a new app store.

Following suit from Apple, plans to expand their operating system so that it will work across home PCs, laptops, tablet devices, mobile phones and home consoles.

A new post in their blog also revealed that they are working on an app store that will deliver software across the wide variety of devices Windows 8 is designed to power.

The post also stressed MS's emphasis on user feedback saying: "You can look at all the comments and see the incredible demand for new features across a very wide range of scenarios. Folks want new things, and changes to existing things; they want features to be available globally, to be accessible, and to be super high quality; they want things to work on existing hardware, and to take advantage of the latest new hardware. Our job is to get as much done in as short a time as possible, at a very significant scale."
