Codemasters has announced that they have launched a of their upcoming shooter, Bodycount on Live.

The demo, which launches today, gives fans a taste of Bodycount's early African missions in the single player campaign.

Bodycount will encourage players to engage in a very dynamic and action-packed run-and-gun style of gameplay featuring some pretty hefty firepower, which includes in the demo the G36 SMG, the Super 90 Shotgun and the usual array of grenades and proximity mines.

The game's art director Max Cant said: "Fans should expect a lot of mayhem, a lot of destruction, fun, fast paced arcade action. It's much more of an A-Team experience than some sort of dour, self-obsessed, self-important thing. If you want to have fun, play Bodycount."

Bodycount will release on the and on August the 30th. Codies also confirmed that a PS3 demo is on its way.
