Team Bondi on the verge of bankruptcy?
LA Noire studio staff joining Mad Max production company KMM
The internet is hot with rumours that the developer behind LA Noire, Team Bondi, is on the verge of bankruptcy.
A post on NeoGAF suggests that Team Bondi are filing for bankruptcy and any remaining staff are being picked up by Aussie multimedia production company Kenneth Miller Mitchell.
The news comes despite the impressive success that LA Noire has seen equalling the initial sales figures of Red Dead Redemption, Rockstar's big 2010 release, and breaking all sales records for a brand new IP in the UK.
It is believed that the LA Noire IP actually belongs to Rockstar as part of their publishing deal with Rockstar Leeds producing the PC version of the game. This would also potentially account for Team Bondi running into financial trouble despite the success of LA Noire.
