The internet is hot with rumours that the developer behind LA Noire, Team Bondi, is on the verge of bankruptcy.

A post on NeoGAF suggests that are filing for bankruptcy and any remaining staff are being picked up by Aussie multimedia production company Kenneth Miller Mitchell.

The news comes despite the impressive success that has seen equalling the initial figures of Redemption, Rockstar's big 2010 release, and breaking all sales records for a brand new IP in the UK.

It is believed that the LA Noire IP actually belongs to as part of their publishing deal with Rockstar Leeds producing the version of the game. This would also potentially account for Team Bondi running into financial trouble despite the success of LA Noire.
