Square Enix picks up True Crime: Hong Kong
They will publish the game under a different name
United Front Games has signed up with Square Enix to get their True Crime reboot published under a different name.
The deal affords United Front Games the opportunity to finish the game that would have been True Crime: Hong Kong and release it under a different name as Square Enix has acquired up the rights to the True Crime IP.
Square London's Lee Singleton confirmed their deal with United Front although he remained tight-lipped on release details or even what the name of the game might be.
Her did say: "When we met the team at United Front Games, it was a done deal in our eyes we instantly recognized the huge potential in the game and the team. UFG is an incredibly talented team, who have individually worked on some of the biggest games in our industry, and this talent shines through from the moment you walk in the door."
Thanks Gamasutra.
