Half of Netflix users are using it on consoles

Nielsen has revealed that half of those using Netflix are using the video streaming service through consoles.

The latest viewing figures compiled by Nielsen show that Wii, PS3 and Xbox 360 users account for exactly 50 percent of the Netflix users.

The Wii accounts for a whopping 25 percent despite not being an HD console. The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 account for 13 and 12 percent respectively.

It seems to show that US console owners are beginning to see the value of their consoles outside of playing games.
