EA's Patrick Soderlund has said that they are still keeping the dream alive as far as the series is concerned.

Soderlund hinted that there is something in the pipeline but was very coy on the details in an interview with German gaming site Gamestar.

He said: "I loved Mirror's Edge and what we did with Mirror's Edge. We have not abandoned the franchise. And we are working on something but I'm not willing to talk more about that."

It was reported that Mirror's Edge 2 had been put on hold and, with so much work going into getting 3 finished at DICE this news was not really a surprise.

Patrick Bach told us in April that not everyone at DICE was working on but wouldn't say what those other people were working on. All he would say was: "We love Mirror's Edge, but that's all I can say."

Our fingers are crossed that and DICE can give us something more concrete on the future of Mirror's Edge once they begin to wind down on Battlefield 3.
