Respawn staff are predominantly ex-Infinity Ward

40 staff defected from Infinity Ward to join West and Zampella

It seems that Jason West and Vince Zampella managed to take plenty with them when they were sacked by Activision last year.

Most of what they have taken seems to be staff with some 40 out of the 53 team members at Respawn having come from Infinity Ward.

This seems to confirm that the sacking of West and Zampella prompted a considerable exodus from Infinity Ward and would explain why they needed to draft in Sledgehammer Games to help finish Modern Warfare 3.

Six of the remaining thirteen staff at Respawn not from Infinity Ward have come from Sony's God of War developer SCE Santa Monica.
