Call of Duty to get it's very own fan convention, Call of Duty XP
The first one to be held in LA in September
We already have QuakeCon and BlizzCon so now Activision has decided that their record breaking miltary shooter series Call of Duty deserves its own convention too.

The first Call of Duty XP will take place at the LA Convention Centre, also home to E3, on the 2nd and 3rd of September and will give 6000 lucky COD fans the chance to get their hands on the Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer before it arrives in November.
Activision will also be taking the opportunity to show off their new social networking service, Call of Duty Elite and this will be the first chance to check out the full range of features that the service will offer. Call of Duty XP will also feature the first 1 million USD Call fo Duty: Black Ops tournament sponsored by Xbox 360, giving COD fanatics to find out who really rules the roost.
Activision are also promising discussion panels and Q & A sessions with COD developers, triple-A live entertainment, an onsite COD armoury and museum, paintballing on a lifesize COD multiplayer map and the opportunity to try out a speed run on Modern Warfare 2's The Pit map for real.
Tickets to Call of Duty XP will go on sale on the 19th of July and will cost 150 USD.
