Codemaster's new built using the EGO engine, Bodycount, has been given a release date for the beginning of the autumn.

Bodycount began life as the spiritual successor to EA's bloskbuster Black with the team headed up by Black's creator Stuart Black.

Black left for City Interactive last year but development continued on the game and the game featured as part of Codemasters' stand at this year's E3 boasting gameplay that looks like a cross between and Brink.

Bodycount is in development for and PlayStation 3 and is set to be released on September the 2nd in the UK.

Thanks MCV.
