Black Ops beats Modern Warfare 2's sales record in the UK

Will we be saying this about MW3 in 12 months time?

Gfk ChartTrack, the guys who compile the UK's games sales charts have confirmed that Call of Duty: Black Ops is now the biggest selling game of all time in the UK.

Modern Warfare 2 had previously held the record having sold 3,702,410 copies in the UK as of the 25th of June.

Black Ops skipped past that number by some 20,001 units setting the new top sales record in the UK at 3,722,411 units.

Andrew Brown, MD of Activision UK said: "This is an outstanding achievement for the development team at Treyarch and the amazing Call of Duty community."
