Frostbite 2 could be used for Mirror's Edge 2
Mirror's Edge 2 still on the cards
EA has said that it is entirely possible that Mirror's Edge 2 could be built using the same Frostbite 2 game engine that they are using for Battlefield 3.
EA Games boss Frank Gibeau said that they were looking for the right big idea that would help bring the franchise back with a bang.
He said: "We haven't killed Mirror's Edge. We're actively looking at how to bring it back in the right way. We love that franchise, the DICE guys really created something special the first time around. You've got to have a big idea to be able to do the next one, and that's what we're working on."
Gibeau added guardedly on the possibility of Mirror's Edge 2 using Frostbite 2: "You'll see that combination, I'm sure."
