No DirectX 9 support for Battlefield 3
PC specs revealed for DICE's new opus
EA and DICE have announced the PC specifications for Battlefield 3 and it looks like bad news for gamers still using Windows XP.
Battlefield 3 is asking for a system running on at least Windows Vista meaning that DirectX 9 will not be supported. Given the visual fidelity of the game this really isn't a surprise.
The complete minimum specifications required are a 2.0GHz Core 2 Duo processor, 2GB of RAM, DirectX 10 or 11 compatible video card with 512MB of VRAM and 15GB of hard disc space for the disc based version and 10GB for the digital version.
Battlefield 3 will be out on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 from October the 25th in the US and 28th the UK and Europe.
