This is not a port from either the or the versions of ModNation Racers. That was the first thing that was made clear.

This has been built from the ground up to take advantage of the PS Vita's unique features.

Showing off the track creation tools, both touch panels have been used to maximum effect along with the analogue sticks and standard buttons to create an intuitive set of tools to build your own tracks.

Sony has also revealed that all of the tracks already created on ModNation Racers on the PS3 will be available on the version of ModNation Racers from day one.
