PS3 online multiplayer on Dirt 3 locked out until PlayStation Store returns
PSN problems continue...
In an unfortunate turn of events for PS3 fans of the Dirt racing series those PS3 owners eager to pick up Dirt 3 will find themselves unable to access the online features.
Dirt 3 comes bundled with a one-shot VIP Pass which allows access to the online multiplayer features, YouTube functions and some additional cars to download.
This pass requires the PlayStation Store to be online in order for it to be activated. With the PS Store still out of action this has left those who have bought Dirt 3 without access to the online multiplayer until the store returns.
Codemasters' Andy Gray said: "It is a really unfortunate situation but we are positive that everything is being done to rectify the service as soon as possible."
The VIP Pass is also available to those who buy the game second hand for 800 MS points on Xbox Live or 6.29 GBP on PSN.
