Rumours of a PS3 Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker resurface

Peace Walker a candiate for the PSP Remasters range

With Sony Computer Entertainment of Japan's announcement of the PSP Remasters range of titles for the PS3 rumours have returned of a PS3 appearance of the Konami's impeccable Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker.

A French gaming site Jeux Video Network has indicated that a Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker would be a hot favourite to join Monster Hunter Portable 3rd in the getting the HD blu-ray treatment.

Sony has announced that while PSP Remasters will be getting HD and 3D updates unlike the recent PS2 remastered titles they will not be receiving any Trophy support.

It is believed that the reason for this decision is security related as Sony decided not to extend Trophies to the PSP due to piracy worries back in 2009. Given that the PSP Remasters will allow sharing of save game data between PSP and PS3 versions of the games it is possible that the inclusion of Trophies could open up the PS3 to hacking again.
