Neither 3.61 Firmware update or LA Noire causing mystery PS3 overheating
Sony and Rockstar join together to deny responsibility
Rockstar and Sony have ruled out LA Noire and the 3.61 Firmware update as causes of the mystery PS3 overheating cases.
This began with reports claiming that LA Noire was causing the PS3 to overheat. Rockstar initially blamed Sony's security update for the PS3 firmware but quickly retracted the comments admitting that there were overheating problems with the 360 version as well.
Sony and Rockstar have now released a joint statement claiming that neither of their products are to blame for the overheating hardware.
It added: "We are both committed to working hard to find solutions to this and any issues that may arise."
