No Valve at this year's E3
They have nothing to show at the moment
One of the big talking points from the build-up to last year's E3 was what Valve were going to announce at their press conference.
There were great swirling rumours about what they were going to announce. Was it a new iteration of the Source engine? Was it the next Half-Life?
It ended up with Valve cancelling their own press conference and appearing in Sony's instead and sending out a press release saying: "It's about Portal 2 for God's sake!" It did turn out to be really big with Gabe Newell appearing on stage at the Sony show to announce that Portal 2 would not only be coming to the PS3 but it would also feature full Steam functionality integrated with PSN.
This year there will be no such drama as Valve has circulated a short email stating that they will not be showing anything off this year. Sad news for those who have been enjoying Portal 2 but not all is lost. There will be more DLC available for Portal 2 this summer and true to Valve's form it will be free on all platforms.
