Square Enix has announced that they will be bringing Chrono Trigger back to home consoles via the Virtual Console.

The Super Nintendo classic JRPG will see yet another new life on the when it launches on the on May the 16th.

Since its 1995 release on the SNES, Chrono Trigger has also appeared on the PlayStation just before the release of sequel Chrono Cross in 1999 and on the Nintendo with an improved English translation and a remastered CD copy of the sound track in 2008.

Chrono Trigger was the brainchild of Dragon Quest creator Yuji Horii and the man behind the Dragon Ball anime series Akira Toriyama and is widely respected as one of the best RPGs has ever made.
