PSN credit card details reportedly up for sale
Rumours have emerged suggesting that someone is trying to sell a list of credit card details supposedly stolen from Sony's PSN servers.
A list of up to 2.2 million PSN members' information including credit card details and security numbers has been mentioned on hackers forums and notice boards.
The hackers have reportedly been trying to sell the list for upwards of 100,000 USD even claiming to have tried to sell it back to Sony to no avail.
Sony's Patrick Seybold responded to the rumours saying: "To my knowledge there is no truth to the report that Sony was offered an opportunity to purchase the list. The entire credit card table was encrypted and we have no evidence that credit card data was taken."
