PSPGo production continues in the US
For now...
While Sony Comupter Entertinment Japan has finally nixed the struggling PSPGo, their US arm, Sony Computer Entertainment America seem to be continuing their support for the handheld.
SCEJ has killed production on the PSPGo to concentrate on building up to the release of the NGP, which could potentially slip into 2012 for them due to last month's earthquake and tsunami.
SCEA, however, confirmed in a statement to IndustryGamers that they will be continuing production of the PSPGo for now.
With what Sony are saying support for the PSPGo may outlive support for the PSP UMD format as original PSP titles will continue to be available for the NGP on the PlayStation Store due to it's proposed backwards compatibility.
