Square Enix trademarks filings appear

A trademark listing filed by Square Enix may have revealed the name of IO's next Hitman title.

Square Enix has filed for a trademark in Europe for the name Hitman: Absolution. Given that the Hitman series hasn't been nunbered since Hitman 2 it is very likely.

The hype has been building for the next Hitman game with the first piece of artwork appearing on a forum earlier this year.

It has been hinted that the game will make its first official appearance at E3 in June and rumour has it that it is set for release at Christmas time. We'll let you know as soon as we know more.
