DICE takes another pop at the competition
Other shooter series are treading water
DICE has taken another swipe at the competition for their upcoming big release Battlefield 3.
Studio general manager, Karl-Magnus Troedsson, pointed out that they believed that their competitors have become so big that they have stopped innovating.
He began: "The competitors ... are out there, they're established, and they're very, very big. "We believe that they are not innovating, that they are treading water. We ... are investing our time, our energy and money in actually innovating."
He added: "Every time that we launch a new game, we ask ourselves - what can we do better? What can we make faster? More fun? So, first and foremost we always compete with ourselves."
Battlefield 3 will be out some time in the autumn on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
