343 Industries: Halo Wars a success, could work well on Kinect
Sequel not in development right now
343 Industries' Frank O'Connor has hailed Ensemble's swansong Halo Wars as a success and believes a sequel would do well on Kinect.
O'Connor said that Halo Wars beat sales forecasts and that there is definitely room for a sequel with the arrival of Kinect. That said, they are not currently working on another Halo RTS.
He explained: "The funny thing about Halo Wars is it actually beat our sales forecasts, so it was a bigger success than we expected. It was a big critical success and it's still the number one selling RTS on consoles this generation."
"In that regard it was a huge success but is the will to do a sequel there? Who knows. We could do something that works on Kinect, for example. There's no will against it but we're not working on it right now," added O'Connor.
