It has finally arrived, at least in Japan, and the 3DS seems to be proving rather popular so far.

Nintendo's original production run of 400,000 units is almost sold out after a very popular launch weekend.

The official sales figure from the console's first two days of its launch is sitting at 371,326.

The biggest selling launch title in Japan is Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask which has shifted 117,598 copies over the weekend.
