Mirror's Edge handed a lifeline
Development on a sequel seems to be paused instead of canned
EA is not quite finished with DICE's first-person physics-based free-running series despite word that the series has been put on ice indefinitely.
The publisher has thrown Mirror's Edge a bone in the form of a statement to 1UP in response to the talk that work on Mirror's Edge 2 has ground to a halt.
The statement said that "Mirror's Edge is an important franchise" but they had "nothing further to announce".
It's not a surprise that the series has been put on hold for now given the emphasis that EA seems to be putting on Battlefield 3 which is due out later this year.
