Bizarre Creations will close its doors for the last time after devoting the last sixteen years to developing quality titles.

Bizarre was one of the first studios to be hit in Activision's mass staff cull after their last two titles and 007: Blood Stone were both failures at retail.

The Liverpool-based developer will be best remembered for the Project Gotham Racing series on the and which was the spiritual successor to their Dreamcast hit Metropolis Street Racer.

Outside of the racing genre they also produced the classic Geometry Wars series and the quirky skill-based The Club.
