Ubisoft announces Call of Juarez: The Cartel

Western series comes to the modern day

Ubisoft announced today the next game in their Western series, Call of Juarez, to be released later this year.

Call of Juarez: The Cartel brings the series kicking and screaming into the present day drawing players into a mature and immersive journey from Los Angeles to Juarez in Mexico.

Ubisoft's Adam Novickas said: "Call of Juarez: The Cartel is an action-packed shooter game with a strong story, interesting characters and a wide variety of gameplay options. The game will bring the best elements of the Wild West into modern times with a very gritty and relevant plot."

Call of Juarez: The Cartel is scheduled for release some time in the summer of this year for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
