CCP Dust 514 team hires EA Play4Free vet Jean-Charles Gaudechon
CCP has secured the services of yet another EA Play4Free veteran this time for the development team working on their ambitious PS3 free-to-play FPS Dust 514.
Jean-Charles Gaudechon comes to CCP from EA in Stockholm where he served as an executive producer on Battlefield Play4Free and Battlefield Heroes as well as leading development on and launching Need For Speed World.
CCP's VP of product development and former EA Play4Free man Sean Decker said, “In addition to his extensive experience in the free-to-play space, Jean-Charles brings a tremendous sense of product vision and creativity to Dust 514. His track record of developing major online titles will serve the growth of Dust 514 very well.”
Gaudechon will work out of CCP's Shanghai studio under the direction of Decker. He said of his new job, “The scope and vision of DUST 514, and its integration into the massive EVE Online Universe is unparalleled, creating the largest single-shard online multi-player game to date. I look forward to my journey with CCP as we push the boundaries of the game even farther, to an experience as large and meaningful as the EVE Universe itself.”
