Keita Takahashi, the creator of the Katamari series of games and oddball title Noby Noby Boy, has been confirmed as the keynote speaker for this Friday's Global Games Jam.

The International Games Developers Association (IGDA) confirmed that Takahashi's keynote will be released on Friday the 28th of January at 5pm Auckland time as the Global Games Jam begins.

Gorm Lai, Global Games Jam co-founder enthused about the speech: "'What Just Happened?' was my initial reaction after watching the keynote. Keita certainly delivers on the promise of a surprising and thoughtful talk for the industry."

The Global Games Jam happens this Friday in 173 registered locations spread across over 44 different countries and poses professionals and amateurs the challenge of making a full game over the course of a single weekend.
