Codemasters: PSP 2 is as powerful as PS3
Rod Cousens fuels rumours of the PSP 2's power
The CEO of British publisher Codemasters, Rod Cousens, has suggested that the rumours about the PSP 2 being as powerful as the PS3 are indeed true.
Cousens told Eurogamer at this last week's 3DS launch event in Amsterdam that this year will see portable gaming really kicking off with the 3DS and the PSP 2 arriving alongside the rapidly growing smartphone market.
He added on the PSP 2: "In portable areas, you're going to have statements, which are already out in the press, saying PlayStation Portable 2 is as powerful as the PS3 - which is true. So you're going to get mobile devices as powerful as what were considered notebooks. I just think it gets bigger."
The PSP 2 is rumoured to be unveiled this Wednesday in Tokyo at 6am GMT. We'll tell you all once we know more.
