According to Japanese news wire Nikkei, the PlayStation Meeting will happen at 3pm Japanese time in Tokyo this Thursday which works out at around 6am GMT.

With rumours surrounding the handheld's specifications and capabilities it is to be hoped that Sony will finally announce the 2 officially at this meeting.

It is believed that the will feature a large high-definition OLED screen and 3G functionality as well as the now-standard Wi-Fi connectivity.
