Final Fantasy XIII-2 announced in Japan
Square Enix announced Final Fantasy XIII-2 earlier today, at its First Production Department Premier press conference in Japan.
Touted as a direct sequel to last year's FFXIII, and featuring Lightning as the main character, FFXIII-2 will release on both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 later this year. That's in Japan, no mention of the rest of the world yet.
Much of the FFXIII creative team are behind this new title, including director Motomu Toriyama, who debuted a teaser trailer for the game on stage in Tokyo.
Looks like Toriyama is looking to right some perceived wrongs too, as his team are "working so that the game serves as the answer to the opinions they received about FFXIII".
A Japanese website has been launched for the title. The trailer will be released on January 27.
Thanks, Andriasang.
