Beenox to focus on Spiderman titles for now
French Canadian studio Beenox has been handed the sole responsibility for working on the Spiderman franchise by their parent and publisher Activision.
Beenox has worked on Marvel titles since becoming part of Activision in 2005 and has worked on titles like Ultimate Spiderman, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, Spiderman 3 and Spiderman: Friend or Foe.
Their most recent title Spiderman: Shattered Dimensions was fairly well-received and fare well at retail which has earned the studio the right to assume responsibility for developing Spiderman further as a gaming entity.
Activision's Patrick Kelly said: "Beenox's creative vision reinvigorated the Spider-Man gaming experience among critics and fans in Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions. We can't wait to see where this talented studio will take this franchise in the future."
