Homefront to use the THQ pass
THQ continuing the push to cash in on pre-owned sales
Homefront's online multiplayer is set to feature THQ's own version of EA's Online Pass limiting the ability to play online for those that buy the game second hand.
A single-use code is to be bundled with brand new copies of Homefront and will allow players access to all 75-levels of experience in the game's online multiplayer modes.
Without the code players will only be able to level-up as far as level five in the multiplayer. Players will continue to be able to play after reaching level five however.
The THQ pass was first used in last year's well received UFC 2010 forcing secondhand buyers of the game to spend 10 USD to play the game online.
Thanks Shacknews.
